Every season we host a different themed day clinic at Megalong Icelandic Horses. This can be for example groundwork, float loading, riding the tölt. Besides the day clinics we've been lucky enough to have some amazing riding instructors over from overseas for weekend clinics. Keep an eye on this page for the upcoming clinics.
Megalong Youngster morning - Friday 19th of July 2024
After a setback with the landslide on Megalong road, we’re finally organising our second ‘Megalong Youngsters’ morning this coming school holidays. On Friday the 19th of July from 9-12am we’ll be doing lots of fun games on and off the horses! Such as a nerve wrecking spoon and egg race, horse ball and more! There’s only limited spots available, so please get in touch via email (info@megalongicelandichorses.com.au) to secure a spot.

Weekend clinic with Maaike Burggrafer - October/November 2024

Join us for a clinic with the esteemed Dutch Trainer Maaike Burggrafer, renowned for her expertise in Icelandic Horses. She is known for her positive teaching style at any level, from beginner to top competitive riders. Many of us will know Maaike from her previous visits to Australia in 2016 and 2018.

Weekend clinic February 2025 - with Anna Eschner

We’re very excited to announce that we’ll welcome Anna Eschner from Germany again. Anna is a highly qualified Icelandic horse riding instructor.
Anna will be giving a two-day clinic in February. Each participant will get 3 private lessons of 50 minutes each and Anna will explain more theory during lunch time. The cost are $375 per person. You’re welcome to bring your own Icelandic horse or you can use one of our Icelandic horses for the clinic. The riding spots will be limited by 8 participants.
