Weekend clinic 21-22 March 2026

Hanne Dueholm Nielsen | Signe | Sanne

Megalong Icelandics is excited to host a special clinic weekend on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd March 2026, featuring a wonderful international team bringing together riding, groundwork, and Icelandic-inspired culture.

We are thrilled to welcome Hanne Dueholm Nielsen back to Australia from Denmark (Hanne previously held a clinic at Megalong in 2020). She will be joined by her daughter Signe (who many will remember from her time working at Megalong Icelandics) and Sanne, a Nordic knitting expert offering a unique cultural addition to the weekend.

Riding with Hanne

Hanne is a true horsewoman with decades of experience in the Icelandic horse community. Her riding sessions will focus on developing balance, confidence, clear communication and harmony, using what she describes as “Icelandic dressage” — supportive training for both the body and mind of the horse, and a practical toolbox for riders to take home.

Groundwork with Signe

Signe will lead the groundwork sessions, focusing on building connection, responsiveness and understanding through simple, effective exercises. These sessions are designed to support training under saddle as well as everyday handling, helping horse and rider become more confident and clear together.

Nordic Knitting & Culture with Sanne

To complement the horse sessions, Sanne will run a relaxed and inspiring Lopapeysa-inspired knitting and culture course, exploring Icelandic knitting traditions, patterns and colour choices, and the role of craft in wellbeing. Participants will also have the chance to knit together during the weekend.
Please bring knitting needles size 4 and yarn if you have it (there will also be an option to preorder yarn).

Cost & Places

The cost for a riding participant is $375 for the full weekend, with only 12 riding spots available, so early bookings are recommended.
